Location
The location. Breakfast spread was very good. Amenities are available when needed.
Room is smaller than expected. On the day of arrival, we were greeted with a big sign Closed on the kiosk self service machine in the lobby. That's all the greetings we got. We just hangout around for less than 30 minutes wait time until the sign was taken off to process the self check in. The front desk is visible from the moment you enter the lobby/building, therefore there is no reason to miss anyone and greeted guests in the customary way or to ask guests to wait for check in. They were too busy looking at the computer on that day and time. On other days at different shifts, the welcome greetings were said to hotel guests at the moment you enter the lobby.

Great location for a stay in Tokyo
The location is good, very close to many subway stations and walking distance from Tokyo tower. There is a convenience store on the ground floor of the hotel which is nice if you arrive late or want to buy something early morning. The staff has been polite and customer oriented. We used the luggage transfer service directly from the hotel to Matsumoto and it worked without any issues.
Room was small but it’s a general thing in Japan. I found the bed to be a bit too firm and the pillows extremely thin but it’s a personal preference.

What was the highlight of Keio Presso Inn Hamamatsucho
The hotel was the perfect base to sleep and rest in between exploring the local area.
The location is excellent. Within walking distance of several stations and situated away from main roads. With restaurants and numerous convenience stores close by, it was an excellent base from which to explore the local area.
The only real issue that I had with the hotel was that you pretty much had to do everything yourself, from checking in to checking out which meant that we had little interaction with staff. To use the elevator to reach the guest floors, you need to use your room card key. There was not explanation of this and the sign in the elevator itself was quite small. I don't think we were alone in being confused the first time we tried to use the elevator to get to our room.
